After returning to her hometown of Varna, SOFIA, has also returned to her first love – Jazz and Pop music. She is regularly appearing on the local stages in Varna with her solo project as well as her jazz band Sofistics. She is writing her own music and is collaborating with her fellow artists on creating and releasing original music as well as new takes on the standard repertoire. In her life as a classical singer SOFIA was recognised by audiences for her theatrical flair and sparkling performance, and enjoyed an international career, having performed in Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, the United States, England, Scotland, and in her native Bulgaria. In 2016 Sofia was filmed in a documentary about the grand diva Pauline Donalda, filmed by the director Prof. Alan Marcus.
